Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Sr. Network Security Engineer within our Enterprise Technologies' Federal Professional Services (PS) Team. The candidate will need broad experience in industry technologies and have in-depth hands-on experience with setup, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting network enterprise technologies. This position requires traveling as required to customers sites and various locations around the world.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with BD, Sales AMs and Pre-Sales Engineers on potential PS engagements.
  • Work with Technical Solutions Architects on Engineering Implementation Plans (EIP) based on Engineering Design Plans (EDP).
  • Meet OEM Channel Partner technical requirements such as training and certifications.
  • Designing and installing networking devices of many different makes and models
  • Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
  • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
  • Communicate with users when needed
  • Attend meetings with Management and clients and contribute suggestions, develop enterprise infrastructure designs, and answers in a professional manner
  • Maintain complete technical documentation
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

Job Requirements:
  • 8+ years related experience
  • Active Secret Clearance, with the ability to gain Top Secret (or have had an active Secret Clearance within 2 years)
  • Active Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification
  • In-depth understanding of Firewall/IPS policies, designs, and STIGs within a DoD environment.
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
  • In-depth hands-on experience with network diagnostics, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds/Wireshark and other network tools)
  • In-depth understanding of multiple network vendors' products, technologies, and solutions.
  • Solid hands-on experience and understanding of multiple network operating systems (Palo Alto PAN-OS, Juniper JUNOS, Cisco IOS XE/XR, NX-OS, Meraki)
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Organizational and mentoring skills

Special Requirements:
  • Up to 50% travel may be required
