Job Description:


The Supervisor schedules, directs and monitors the efforts of the Electronic Enrollment Specialists to facilitate the implementation of electronic files and on-line web enrollment tools. The Supervisor Interacts with various departments, groups and external vendors to ensure project/activity completion on time and within budget.


  • Analyzes personnel requirements to meet current and future business needs.  Includes the development of individual and unit performance goals and plans as well as monitoring actual performance and expenses against goals and plans.  Prepares the annual budget and plans required to meet departmental and corporate goals and plans.

  • Provides support to the staff on premium support related issues, ensuring delinquency procedures are followed, payments applied, refunds, reinstates and inquiries resolved. 

  • Interviews, selects, trains, coaches and evaluates assigned staff.  Prepares and delivers performance evaluations, salary increases and promotions. Develops employees through training, coaching and on the job experiences.

  • Ensures coordination of activities (Electronic Enrollment and Premium Support) and proper written/verbal communications within unit and with other departments, groups and external vendors.  Includes scheduling and conducting meetings to solve problems or clarify roles and responsibilities.

  • Participates in the development/modification of unit forms, policies and procedures.  Analyzes the effect of form, policy and procedural changes upon the unit and systems.  Recommends modifications when necessary.  Explains changes and their rationale to unit personnel.

  • Assigns schedules and explains tasks necessary to complete unit activities.  Includes providing business and technical assistance on assigned activities, as well as, guidance in priority setting and workload balancing.



  • Two years ‘supervisory’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

Education, Certification, and Licenses:

  • Prefer Associate degree or equivalent work experience in Business Administration or Health Planning and Administration.


  • Proven leadership skills related to: leading, motivating, process improvement and innovation.  Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal/external personnel including leading effective meetings. 


  • Ability to coordinate and direct the activities of unit staff to meet unit, department and corporate goals.  Includes the ability to evaluate strengths and weaknesses in staff and motivate staff to complete assignments in an effective manner and to enhance skills through self-development and work experience.


  • Knowledge of CBC Account Administration operations, policies, procedures and mandates and how they apply to group accounts. 

  • Knowledge of data processing terminology and concepts.  Including Knowledge and/or direct interaction with the current Electronic File options/process, as well as, the ANSI 834 standards as they relate to enrollment processing and HIPAA Legislation.  Technical understanding of FACETS, MMS, Secure Mail, SAF and Access databases. Knowledge of Human Resource policies, procedures and legal requirements for personnel supervision.

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and see. The employee must be able to work over 40 hours per week. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.
