Role Summary/Purpose

The Manager Global Treasury Systems & Accounting will utilize solid accounting and system skills to develop automated global treasury accounting standards, policies, and procedures to support Wabtec's global Treasury organization. The incumbent will be an integral member of the Global Cash Management team and work closely with other Treasury departments as needed to ensure all transactions are accounted in a timely and accurate manner, all users and fully trained on system use and system standardization expands globally. The incumbent will have in-depth knowledge of GAAP, hedge accounting, and Treasury workstations.

This position can be located in Pittsburgh, PA or Chicago, IL.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of GAAP to lead the global Treasury accounting activities performed by various finance organizations around the globe.
  • Directly manage shared Treasury accounting resources both internally and externally
  • Partner with the Capital Markets and International Treasury teams to ensure process and documentation requirements are met to record hedge accounting treatment for interest rate and FX hedging transactions
  • Work closely with cash management team to develop and enhance Treasury workstation accounting modules
  • Lead on Treasury system implementations, enhancements and training
  • Administer all access to treasury systems and ensure controls are maintained
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or comparable degree
  • Minimum 3 years of treasury accounting or related experience
  • Minimum 3 years working on Treasury workstations
Desired Characteristics
  • CPA/MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience of treasury accounting or related experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience of treasury workstations ie. Quantum, Kyriba, GTreasury, Reval
  • Self-starting skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, interest in establishing/improving structures and processes
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to work successfully in a cross-functional environment
  • Excellent prioritization, time management and organization skills
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of banking, treasury workstations, and treasury accounting
