Job Description:

Position Purpose

The Demand Planner is an integral member of Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate?s supply chain team, responsible for driving excellence in demand planning and analysis. This position will report directly to the Senior Demand Planner and partner to create all levels of demand plans for a product line with medium complexity, including data inputs, statistical forecasting, incorporating commercial intelligence, product lifecycle management, and continuous improvement analysis. Key responsibilities to include assisting with the demand step of the CIBP Process, collaborating with Supply on the tactical horizon, and Demand Planning metrics adherence and improvement. This role is required to successfully collaborate with the Commercial team, Product Line Managers, Supply Planning, Integrated Business Planning, IT, and Financial Planning & Analysis.

Principal Accountabilities

40% DEMAND FORECASTING
? Maintain data relative to demand forecasting including hierarchy, historical data cleansing, demand sensing data, and forecast model parameters
? Performs statistical forecasting activities, including running the statistical forecast, managing exceptions, and adjusting as necessary
? Gathers, analyzes, and incorporates commercial and marketing intelligence into the demand forecast
? Incorporate Demand Sensing information into forecasting activities in accordance with set strategy


25% ANALYSIS & REPORTING
? Creates, reviews, and delivers timely analysis of demand inputs, statistical forecast calculations, exceptions, and outcomes, to improve forecast accuracy and report results to stakeholders.
? Creates and analyzes moderately complex reports to drive continuous improvement
? Utilizes reporting tools to monitor key performance metrics and exceptions, including analysis to proactively identify and communicate trends, root causes, etc.
? Analyze metrics data and collaborate on developing and executing action plans to close gap to achieve target


15% BUSINESS PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT / METRICS
? Assist Senior Demand Planner in developing and implementing necessary key performance indicators to measure progress against business objectives
? Root cause analysis activity to identify and correct forecast deviations
? Maintain current process documentation while increasing alignment with best practices


15% INTEGRATED BUSINESS PLANNING
? Provide Demand Planning inputs for the CIBP cycle.
? Apply thorough knowledge to execute follow up action items from CIBP meetings as assigned


5% CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
? Navigate data and technology challenges using comprehensive knowledge of best practices and procedures, including upgrades and changes.
? Provide input to continuous Demand Planning process improvement

Required Qualifications
? Bachelor?s degree and 1+ years of industry experience OR High School Diploma and 4+ years of relevant industry or military experience.
? 1+ year experience in Forecasting and/or Demand Planning.
? Experience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, SAP or any enterprise resource planning system.
? Experience using statistics and statistical forecasting tools.
? SAP APO or similar planning tool experience.
? Experience driving efficiency, designing and executing complex queries and reporting with tools such as Power BI, SAP or any enterprise resource planning system, etc.
? Experience in data analysis, data visualization and storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications
? Bachelor?s degree in Business with emphasis in Supply Chain, Information Systems or Marketing.
? Experience with an S&OP or IBP process.
? APICS and/or forecasting certification.
? Experience with metrics development, reporting and analysis.
? Process-mapping and report development abilities with Visio and similar.
