Scope of the Role

This role will be responsible for stimulating an environment for innovation and supporting the organization in identifying, developing and maintaining appropriate governance to help achieve strategic alignment across GSC.  You will identify, lead and manage innovative solutions to business opportunities and work with teams across GSC verticals to deliver those solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops, reviews and monitors department budget to support GSC projects and initiatives

  • Supports and manage a portfolio of projects

  • Ensures GSC project and integration deadlines are established and met.

  • Collaborate across GSC to ensure changes in project deliverables are efficiently communicated to stakeholders and any potential risks identified

  • Develops a network of contacts within industry in order to benchmark and identify and implement suitable initiatives

  • Maintain/develop strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate collaborations and continuous improvement.

  • Supports the development of GSC Governance and continuous improvement objectives

  • Work closely with rest of GSCS Leadership team to support the development and execution of the GSC strategy.

  • Participates in Innovation and process excellence projects to support change initiatives across GSC

  • Works with communication lead to ensure consistency of messaging and alignment with GSCS objectives

  • Demonstrated strong negotiation and influencing skills in a highly matrix-based environment     

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead/support Global Supply Chain projects as required in collaboration with other GSC roles

  • Responsible for coordinating necessary meetings and adequate materials

  • Continually monitor and assess adherence to governance processes, systems and tools to ensure efficient ways of working

  • Establish and maintain process guidelines and principles and work with communications lead to ensure a successful change management process.

Professional Experience and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of related experience in the Biopharm/Pharmaceutical industry, consumer product or related company with cross-functional experience in one or more areas.
    • Highly Preferred: experience in manufacturing and supply chain.

  • Strongly Preferred: Experience in working internationally in a fast-paced, reputed, global pharmaceutical/Bio-Technology or Consumer company organized in a matrix structure.

  • Project management experience with proven track-record of managing cross-functional programs and ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects

  • Familiarity with developing and executing large-scale organizational change, including change management strategy and planning

  • Ability to understand complex processes/problems and propose alternate solutions

  • Ability to set priorities and deliver results without constant feedback/input from manager.

  • Ability to identify, manage, and/or escalate issues and risks to timelines

  • Ability to influence, initiate, and manage change

  • Strongly Preferred:  OPEX/Lean Six Sigma experience

  • Ability to communicate with presence and influence in both formal and informal settings, preparing and presenting persuasive written and verbal materials to any level including executive-leadership

  • Demonstrated innovation, flexibility, open-mindedness, and adaptability to meet objectives in a rapidly changing environment with shifting priorities

  • High degree of competency in MS Office Suite, including Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, & Word

  • Preferred: MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
