THE TEAM

POSITION SUMMARY

In support of the Creative Director, provide inspired leadership to the creative team. Provide both hands on oversight and generation of exceptionally creative concepts and ideas that push past the expected, solve for the identified business problem and further our brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Partners with Creative Director to translate rational business strategies into highly effective creative strategies and insight-driven concepts across a key account

  • A master copywriter with the ability to bring both art and copy together to deliver highly impactful creative concepts and flawless execution across all channels

  • Understands best practice for all channels and deliverables; video, digital, social, print, experiential

  • Demonstrates a curiosity to stay on top of emerging trends, keeping the pulse of advertising industry shifts

  • A client-facing member of the project team that has the ability to articulate creative ideas in a way that inspires and persuades internal and external stakeholder alike

  • A steward of the Cigna brand, responsible for maintaining consistency with regard to voice and visual identity across all channels and brand experiences

  • Partners with Account and Project management teams to ensure creative is on brief, on time and on budget

  • Gate-keeper for quality control of creative with respect to assigned projects

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL OFFER

                                         


  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, writing or communications

  • 8+ years of experience in progressive roles in an advertising agency or highly strategic in-house agency, including management experience

  • A world-class portfolio that demonstrates examples of strategic and conceptual creative work with flawless execution across all channels

  • Strong storytelling skills across all media (digital, print, video and experiential)

  • An ability to inspire peers and executives alike with charismatic and persuasive presentation of ideas

  • Culture and trend expert with impeccable creative taste

  • Driven, compassionate and curious — An excellent communicator with a positive attitude and stellar listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Favorable track record with multiple brands, client relationships and campaigns
