Job Description:

The Labor Compliance Coordinator and Small Business Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the CP2-3 Project's labor and small business requirements are fulfilled. The analyst should have a keen attention to detail, a desire to work with small businesses and labor unions, above average word and excel skills, and strong organizational skills. The analyst will be exposed to the diverse body of law and regulation surrounding small business and labor compliance on public construction projects and should have an appreciation for law and ability to explain complex issues to parties not familiar with the regulations and requirements. This is an entry-level position with the expectation that the candidate will receive continued responsibility as competence is demonstrated.

General Duties
  • Track small business procurement activities and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Conduct small business contractor sourcing by reaching out to small businesses throughout the state to gauge interest in the Project
  • Work with the Project procurement and engineering teams to identify potential subcontractor/vendor needs and connect those needs with potential small business contractors
  • Assist the small business manager with field/site visits to confirm commercially useful function verification and reporting
  • Research and report on small business regulations impacting the project
  • Tack labor compliance requirements and work with impacted subcontractors to ensure timely resolution of labor compliance advisory notices
  • Review CPR reports to ensure compliance with Project standards and proactively address issues before reporting to the client
  • Develop knowledge of labor and small business regulations and rules, be able to proactively identify potential compliance concerns and resolve those concerns
  • Coordinate with safety department to ensure proper onboarding of subcontractors and vendors

  • Above average word and excel skills
