Position Summary:

Resposiblities: Essential Duties

  • Plans, conducts and manages activities, and supervises personnel performing related quality engineering assignments to meet business and quality objectives.
  • Responsible for supplier quality functions, working cooperatively with corporate supplier quality and procurement team members, to identify and qualify new suppliers and materials, maintain supplierquality files and monitor supplier quality and performance in accordance with procedures and regulations.
  • Plans, conducts and reports audits of suppliers and internal functions to assure compliance with procedures and regulations.
  • Responsible for planning, conducting, analyzing data and reporting results of process development engineering studies.
  • Responsible for root cause analysis and corrective actions for investigations of process and product nonconformities, supplier quality issues and customer complaints.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing process monitoring test methods to support continual process verification, analyzing the related data and identifying and correcting adverse trends when they occur to prevent adverse product quality impact.
  • Responsible for sustaining engineering activities that include manufacturing specification updates, design/tech transfer implementation and initiating design change requests.
  • Participates in and supports other quality team activities, including risk management and validation.

  • Manages entry to intermediate level employees of a department or a functions with 1 or 2 sections. Ensures budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, leads, subordinates and peers. Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.


Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred
  • 10-12 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Occasional business travel required, Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Regular and predictable attendance

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
