Overview / Responsibilities

W ood is currently recruiting a Stormwater Engineer with 0 to 3 years of experience. The position will support watershed management, stormwater design, environmental compliance, investigation, and water quality restoration projects in the Tampa, FL office.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. Master's degree is a plus. Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, statistical analysis, GIS, CAD, and technical writing experience is a plus or the ability to learn quickly. Must have an Engineering Intern or Engineer-In-Training designation or be able to obtain within 12 months.

Skills / Qualifications

  • 0 - 3 years of prior related work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required
  • Engineer-in-Training Certificate or ability to obtain within 1 year
  • Experience with desktop and industry-specific software (e.g. MS Office, ESRI GIS, AutoCAD,and ICPR) desired
  • Experience conducting data analyses with statistical software desired
  • Must have sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in varying environments (office, lab and field settings)
  • Ability to swim
  • Demonstrated professional judgment, consistency and attention to detail as well as a track record of producing quality work products
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully in a team environment, whether it be remotely or locally
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
  • Ability to establish effective internal and external working relationships
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients, supervisor or project manager regarding work assignments required
  • Valid Florida driver's license; and must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
