If you are a Financial Analyst / Sr. Financial Analyst professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Corporate Headquarters location, St. Louis, MO 
As a Sr. Financial Analyst, YOU WILL: 

Provide financial support and asset administration to Corporate IT Data CenterHosting Operations.  Financial supportincludes; ensuring good control over and financial reporting of transactions(both expense and recovery), budgeting and forecasting, participating incapacity planning, and assisting in strategy setting.  This role is heavily involved in the detailed“standard costing” and pricing of the Hosting operations products and services andin the life cycle management of hosting assets. Given the rapid growth inCorporate IT, this position will actively participate in the creation of new businessprocesses and the reengineering of existing. 

 

PRINCIPALFUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Manage the annual budget process and monthly/quarterly analysis and roll-up of expected results

  • Participate in and or supervise standard cost accounting activities and rate setting including variance analysis

  • Generate and analyze financial and operational metrics

  • Process and analyze monthly hosting recovery/inter-company billing

  • Process actual transactions

  • Perform administrative tasks and participate in management surrounding the financial aspects of  asset life cycle management, especially with regard to leased assets 

  • Assist in evaluating potential IT investments, both from a ROI perspective and from a business alignment perspective

  • Work with all areas of Emerson Corporate IT; Vendor Management, Project Management Office, Architecture, Security and IT Operations to assist in analyzing both current and future product and service costs and related cost recovery models

  • Help identify, develop and implement tools, business processes and procedures

  • Participate in capacity planning, strategy and staff meetings

  • Prepare presentations to Senior Corporate and Business Unit IT Management

  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION/LANGUAGE


  • Bachelor’sDegree in Business or Accounting with minor in Computer Science or  Information Systems a plus

  • Mastersin Business Administration or desire to obtain

 EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • 3 to 5 years of work experiencein business including financial analysis and working in an IT shared serviceenvironment

  • Some experience withOracle/SAP financial and procure to pay systems

  • Some experience withmanaging leased assets preferred

  • Advanced user of Microsoft productsincluding SharePoint

  • Strong analytical skills amust

  • Ability to excel in ateam environment.
