Description

To maintain superior customer focus, we are seeking a Production/Facility Support Member to join our team.  This position will be responsible for assisting the production lines of our GO Switch and Switchbox products by keeping a variety of dispensing machines full and removing recyclable wastes as specified to meet order requirements ensure the quality, and on-time delivery of those products as well as supporting facility needs.  For the right candidate, this role can lead to other challenging opportunities in Louisville, or perhaps within the vast Emerson network of companies around the world!

 
Responsibilities



  • Coordinate the pick-up of waste solvents, & expired products (glues, potting’s) from production lines.  Handle all waste solvents and coordinate all hazardous materials for pickup from facility with outside vendor.

  • Distributing solvents to production floor, filling potting machines, packaging paper & other misc. needs.

  • Remove cardboard from production lines & throughout facility for recycling.

  • Organize recyclables, cardboard, paper, variety of metals & electronic scrap.

  • Housekeeping of chemical storage & other assigned areas

  • Performs related duties/janitorial as assigned or as the situation dictates

  • Ladder & Fire Extinguisher PM’s

  • Assist HR with company related events, room setup & teardown

  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures

  • Additional responsibilities may be directed by TopWorx  



 
Education/Experience Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities



  • Fluent in English (reading and writing)





  • Operate a Forklift & Pallet Jack



  • Good organizational skills



  • Self-motivated



  • Ability to complete basic math functions (addition/subtraction/multiplication/division)



  • Basic computer skills



  • Ability to read and understand production shop orders and instructions



  • Ability to lift 40 pounds intermittently



  • Ability to sit and/or stand daily up to 10 hours



  • Ability to defer to management when appropriate
