A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE
Responsible for performing Level I transactional audits of mortgage servicing operations. Responsible for analyzing data, documenting results and reporting to the Vice President Compliance. Additionally, responsible for ongoing maintenance and monitoring of all policies and procedure documents consistent with all applicable operations and relevant program guidelines.
Primary Accountabilities


  • Responsible for completing assigned work accurately and timely in order assist the department in completion of the Compliance Transactional Testing and Quality Control Plan. This includes complete and accurate work papers to support completion of testing and control conclusions.

  • Responsible for completing training and maintaining knowledge as necessary to become familiar with investor, regulatory and internal mortgage servicing requirements.

  • Responsible for communicating Findings, Process Improvements, Remediation Plans, and Remediation Testing results to the Vice President Compliance as appropriate.

  • Updates and maintains policy and procedure management system and remain current on policies and procedures versions for all business areas. Documents and maintains company policy and procedures consistent with corporate guidelines and templates.

  • Performs operational reviews of Policies and Procedures to ensure Compliance with federal consumer financial laws including loan level detail testing to support completion of testing and control conclusions.

  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

  • Research and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work with various individuals in every department to access and understand information/data required for analysis.

  • Ability to understand and execute existing audit methodologies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for the reporting of results.

  • Ability to work independently

  • Advanced Excel, Word, Power Point, and Visio skills.

  • Ability to learn, understand, and utilize company applications including FiServ, and Global View Point.

  • Regular, consistent, and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of customer operations processes, procedures and policies

  • Strong teamwork, and interpersonal skills

  • Good planning and organizational skills

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of mortgage servicing and/or financial services policies and procedures, preferred

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Mortgage Industry experience preferred.

Travel Required
It is expected that this position may include travel up to 10% of the time. This is subject to change based on many factors, including business needs

Language Ability
Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.
Mathematical Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
