Job Description:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will provide electrical, mechanical, and environmental expertise to the Facilities Maintenance organization and support production. This is a weekend shift position. 5pm-5am Saturday & Sunday with (1) 8-hr day during the regular work week.Job Responsibilities:* Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of building facilities equipment, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, air compressors, exhaust fans, cooling towers, dust collectors, and plant vacuum system.* Troubleshoot 120-480 volt circuits.* Install lighting fixtures and switches.* Install conduit for new and existing equipment.* Complete environmental and equipment rounds and log data into waste water treatment log book.* Monitor, take readings, log data, make corrections if necessary on various environmental equipment, including scrubber, caustic tanks, and sumps.* Handle drum waste and methanol totes, including labelling, preparing for shipment, and receiving chemicals.* Ensure chemical storage pad and hazardous waste areas are clean and organized.* Install new or relocate existing equipment.Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent technical education.* 3-5 years prior maintenance experience, preferably in an electromechanical environment preferred.* Ability to read electrical schematics.* Working knowledge of motor starters and controls.* Experience with variable frequency drives is a plus.* \\"C\\" or \\"D\\" waste water treatment license certification preferred.KEMET does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, ethnicity or national origin, disability, pregnancy, religion, political affiliation, union membership, protected veteran status, protected genetic information, marital status or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local law, in making employment decisions including but not limited to hiring, wages, promotions, rewards, and access to training.
