Job Description:


Under the supervision of the Golf Division, the incumbent in this position will be responsible for ensuring that the speed of play is consistent and that rules and regulations are followed on the golf course.  If assigned to be Tee Manager, the incumbent in this position will be responsible for ensuring proper receipts and paperwork is in order and that players are started according to their assigned tee times. 

Hiring range: $12.00-$14.15 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Position will close to applicants at 12:00 p.m. M.S.T. on Monday, July 13, 2020.


  • Employee has special job duties in one of the following areas: Greets players and checks receipts for date, number of holes, etc. 

  • Explains Ready Golf Program, states current golf course conditions, emphasizes green repair and cart rules, requests survey information and communicates with pro shop and play managers. 

  • Monitors the speed of play by implementing and enforcing the Ready Golf Program, enlightening players to be aware of rules and regulations and providing information about various situations on the golf course.


Other duties as assigned.



May provide training and supervision for new tee or play managers as directed.



Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Requires good work ethic, people skills, self-motivation, ability to accept criticism, and ability to follow oral and written instructions and verbalize effectively with co-workers and general public.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.


Education and/or formal training:

Prefer customer service experience.



Two (2) years previous golf course tee manager or play manager experience desired.  A good understanding of the game of golf required.

Material and equipment directly used:

Utility vehicle, 2-way radio, record-keeping equipment, carts, range equipment, range ball washer 

Working environment/physical activities:

Performs duties in several different locations, primarily in an outside environment.  Incumbent may be required to push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, move and position up to 50 pounds, and reach to perform the essential functions of the job.  Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.  Must be able to work variable hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.
