General experience may have included knowledge of performing user problem troubleshooting, testing, diagnostic, and resolution of network interface and interoperability problems.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:GS-07: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-05) or equivalent. Knowledge of a wide of telecommunications theories, concepts, principles, procedures, policies, standards and operational requirements.2. Knowledge of performance characteristics of telecommunication equipment, system, services, and transmission media to evaluate devices, proposals, and approaches.3. Knowledge of basic electronics theory and operating principles, the application of existing and planned technology to communications requirements, and equipment interoperability and compatibility.4. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to identify, direct, or coordinate actions required in providing needed service.5. Ability to analyze/apply specialized communications methods and analytical techniques involving telecommunications systems (e.g. systems compatibility, circuits, switches, distribution, satellite linkages, and networking).PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
