Consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Lee Company, under the direction of the VP of IT, the Business Intelligence Manager role is to lead a team of data professionals in developing and implementing comprehensive tools and strategies that allow raw data to be transformed into business insights.

This person would join our growing team of data experts and manage the processes and people responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling and analysis. The ideal candidate can find solutions and value in large business data sets, and has the leadership, organizational, and technical skills to convert that data into strategic opportunities for the company.

The Analytics Manager will work closely with leaders across multiple business unit to support high-quality, data-driven decisions. They will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques to extract key insights from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, develop, and manage data analysts, architects, and other data professionals as needed in support of the company goals.

  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.

  • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Communicate results and impacts of data initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Define and achieve a long-term data strategy to support corporate strategic goals.

  • Research and recommendations data and analytics products, services, and practices.

  • Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.

  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.

  • Promote the benefits of data & analytics benefits across the organization.

  • Implementing and maintain modern integrations among various enterprise systems.

  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes.

  • Enable and promote the development of non-IT citizen development and citizen analyst capabilities within the business.

  • Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide support as necessary.

  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of IT.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field an accredited university.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience applicable to the duties described above.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading a team of data professionals.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive data, analytics, BI, and modeling experience, with knowledge of modern data methodologies and integration practices.

  • Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.

  • Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.

  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.

  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL and Azure technology stacks.

  • Strong ability to translate business and user needs into effective data solutions.

  • Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project/product management methodologies.

  • Experience with applying best practices for data security and privacy.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Able to prioritize, execute, and delegate tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft PowerPlatform, PowerBI, and Common Data Services.

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus.
