Job Description:

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Under minimal direction, this position plans, manages and executes both organic search engine (SEO) and paid search (SEM) marketing and related program management. This position has direct responsibility for meeting conversion goals from both organic traffic as well as paid digital advertising traffic to the website. This role must be equally savvy in organic optimizations as well as the latest in paid digital advertising including search, retargeting and social.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.  Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.


Assures quality customer service to all customers.


Researches and implements search engine optimization recommendations.


Conducts competitive analysis (e.g., keyword research, strategies, ads).


Develops and implements link building strategy.


Works with the development team to ensure SEO best practices.


Reviews technical SEO issues and recommend fixes.


Implements digital display, search, retargeting, mobile, and geotargeting campaigns.


Directs ad agency partners including testing and evaluating tactics, audiences and creative.


Manages paid ad budget and ensures budget is optimized to meet organization goals.


Researches and recommends testing of new paid digital advertising tactics.


Manages Google My Business listings nationally and leverages for increased donation center traffic.


Manages and creates all tags in Google Tag Manager.


Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required.


Licenses/ Certifications
Google Paid Search Certification required.
Google Analytics Certification required.


Experience
Five years related work experience required.
Two years of leadership experience required.
One year of experience with Google Tag Manager required.


Skills/Abilities
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities. 
Must be able to maintain confidentiality. 
Excellent written and verbal skills required.
In-depth experience with Google Analytics.
Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms.
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM.
SEO-level understanding of HTML/CSS.
Experience with SEO reporting.
Familiarity with relevant SEO/SEM tools.
Aptitude for both analytical and creative tasks.
Understanding of marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
Experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
Able to work independently and with virtual teams.
Self-starter that is comfortable working remotely with a virtual team.
Ability to travel (10%+).
