As a Senior Director of Strategic Capabilities and Initiatives working on the USBU Strategy and Planning function team, you will be immersed in USBU strategic capabilities and objectives and play a critical role in enabling Takeda’s growth and development as a biopharmaceutical leader.  This role may require domestic travel up to 25%. A typical day will include:

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

This role positively impacts the bottom line by leveraging extensive experience in solutions-oriented problem solving, team development, change management, analytics. A deep understanding of project management and agile thinking and ability to accelerate change in culture and embed and grow key strategic capabilities across the organization.  Serves as a catalyst for thoughtful interference, resulting in positive change. Implements sustainable, measurable solutions to meet business needs. 

This individual will lead multi-faceted strategic and operational initiatives across Takeda’s USBU organization to ensure achievement of corporate and USBU specific objectives.  In order to effectively achieve objectives, this individual will engage with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure cohesion, clear communication, priority alignment, and the optimization of organizational resources and communication. Subsequently, this individual will engage, enact and lead without authority, to effectively drive and communicate commercial initiatives, across the organization, in a highly collaborative manner.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Lead the strategic capability identification across the USBU organization by partnering with key executive stakeholders.

  • Accelerate a culture of learning and innovation through the development of an agile model

  • Enhance the operational effectiveness of the organization by building agile thinking capability with program management including identifying and developing talent.

  • Lead program management team to achieve launch/operational excellence across the commercial organization .

  • Maintain and garner alignment across the USBU and other internal functions (IT, PVPS) to achieve common objectives and facilitate best practice sharing.

  • Maintaining focus on longer-term strategy and planning for the USBU.

  • Build and measure key performance indicators to drive accountability for USBU KPIs.

  • Increasing employee enablement and empowerment across the commercial organization.

  • Oversee strategy design and implementation, and ensure maintenance of program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives

  • Define roles and responsibilities of the core team members and mobilize/oversee large cross functional project teams to achieve objectives, leveraging best practices and tools for efficient and effective project management.

  • Inspire, lead, enable and mobilize project teams to analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks
