Attorneys and research analysts are assigned to standing committees of the Ohio General Assembly to provide assistance to the legislators on the committee. Assistance includes drafting and explaining legislation, writing amendments and substitute bills, and researching questions related to pending legislation.
A J.D., master's, or doctorate degree is required. A qualified candidate must possess superior research, analytical, and writing skills and the ability to communicate in a concise, timely, and effective manner.
