What you will do How you will do it
Under the general direction of the Tax Manager, the Senior Federal Tax Analyst performs in multiple facets of the domestic tax practice, focusing mainly on Federal income tax. In this role, the Senior Federal Tax Analyst will ensure compliance with tax laws and assisting with optimizing the company’s tax position. This role will also support other members of the Tax Department. Your duties will include Federal tax compliance and provision, income tax estimates and extensions, tax planning projects and implementation. This will entail the analysis of the financial information relevant to the preparation of the tax filings along with using your organizational skills to prepare, review, update, and organize the information that supports the tax filings. You will also provide assistance with tax audits and research various Federal tax-related issues. You will have the opportunity to improve processes by developing or implementing best practices as well as participate in special projects and related tax planning opportunities.
As a Senior Federal Tax Analyst you will work in a fast-paced tax department which values motivated team members who successfully navigate multiple priorities. You will be driven to continue to expand your tax knowledge in order to prepare for complex issues within the constantly changing tax landscape. You will also proactively seek opportunities to assist with various tax projects.
How you will do it
What we look for
•Proven work experience as a Tax Senior.
•Bachelor's degree in accounting, MST or JD preferred.
•Good organizational and documentation skills
•Good communication skills, both oral and written.
•Analytical skills with detail orientation.
•Strong leadership, project management and personnel management skills.
•Both public accounting and industry experience preferred.
•3+ years of experience with income tax compliance.
•High competency level with various software applications including Excel, Word, CorpTax, Tax Stream and HFM.
