Altasciences Preclinical Services has an immediate opening for a dedicated Facilities person. We operate a 200,000 SF building in Everett, WA. The building requires constant support and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance as well as any other duties assigned by the Facilities Manager. We're looking for a professional who can take the initiative and help anticipate problems before they occur. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with anyone else he or she
encounters on the job.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintain quarterly maintenance, makes repairs as needed and conducts environmental monitoring for the boilers and HVAC systems
  • Maintains building by performing general painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, boiler maintenance and other related maintenance activities
  • Notifies management when major repairs or additions are needed to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
  • FMX facility ticket system management
  • Maintains records on equipment to GLP Standards
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least 5 year construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 year facilities or related maintenance experience
  • Licenses required for HVAC Maintenance
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • The language skills required include, but are not limited to: the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, software manuals, study documents, and procedure manuals; the ability to write routine reports and correspondence; the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • The math skills required include, but are not limited to: a working knowledge of basic math skills
  • Continual GLP Training is required
  • Be able to lift at least 25 lbs
  • Be able to handle and dispose of biological and/or chemical substances and wastes in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
  • Wear appropriate PPE in accordance with policies and procedures. PPE may include, but is not limited to: N-95 respirator, face mask, safety glasses, goggles, face shield, gloves, lab coat, scrubs, shoe covers, hair bouffant, hearing protection, and hard hat.
  • Ability to work holiday, weekends and evening hours as requested
  • Occasional travel as requested
