The Manager, Internal Communications plays an essential role in engaging internal stakeholders in developing a high-performance organization. The Manager identifies organizational needs and potential issues for internal communication support and provides counsel to senior leadership regarding internal communication strategy and approach. The Manager coordinates proactive and reactive plans and responses with external communications to ensure alignment with broader organizational messaging, brand and mission.

The Manager, Internal Communications leads a diverse team that develops, executes and evaluates communication plans, channels and messaging that support organizational initiatives, business goals, sensitive issues, large-scale change and organizational culture.

The Manager, Internal Communications is responsible for presenting a range of recommendations on communication strategies and messaging that advance the organizations' goals and priorities. This individual has the ability to think strategically; exercise discretion; collaborate and build consensus and credibility with other leaders and staff; work efficiently to meet time-sensitive deadlines with high quality deliverables; and optimize approaches based on data and best practices.



Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Organization Development or related field. Master's degree preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements.


A minimum 7 years of experience overall including at least 3 years in a senior public relations or communications role in a corporate or agency setting. Experience in and/or knowledge about health care, biomed, or insurance sectors preferred. Experience successfully influencing and collaborating with senior-level leaders/executives, physicians, clients/stakeholders and business and/or community partners required.
