Job Description:

  1. Project Management. Effectively manages
    a variety of projects to ensure financial, quality, service, and operational
    are achieved. 

  2. Employee Development. Responsible for day-to-day management and development of department staff utilizing development tools,
    such as performance evaluations and conducting performance management planning. 

  3. Resource Management. Ensures that the department has the infrastructure and resources required
    to perform its role
    and efficiently (i.e.
    data, tools, subject
    matter experts, etc.). 

  4. Time Management. Monitors department time lines to ensure resources are available and
    applied appropriately to
    achieve desired performance goals in a timely manner. 

  5. Process Improvement. Provides support
    to 3 - 6 process
    improvement efforts annually, which are expected
    to dramatically improve operating performance. May provide best practice examples
    from other healthcare organizations or

  6. Supervision. Oversees
    a department which
    acts as an internal and/or external consulting group providing
    process facilitation support
    as well as rigorous analytical support to project

  7. Assessment. Provides
    active tracking tools
    and risk management summaries for all projects
    designated by senior
    leadership and summarizes individual projects progress and risks to senior leadership either bi­
    weekly or monthly. 

  8. Personal Development. Keeps abreast
    of recent trends and developments in process innovation and project
    management in the healthcare field
    as well as in related

  9. Communication. Maintains
    effective internal and external communication regarding the process innovation
    management efforts, while providing timely information to executives, senior
    management and physicians throughout
    the system
    and the State.
    Provides consultative, coaching, or mentoring services to leadership, department staff, and outside
    as appropriate. 

  10. Public Outreach. Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department in community outreach efforts. Oversees the
    development and implementation of communication plans. 

  11. As Needed. Performs various duties
    as needed to successfully fulfill
    the function of the

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Management, business Administration, Healthcare, Public Health, Social Work or related field.

Experience: 60 months of professional, healthcare, and/or healthcare consulting experience that includes experience managing/leading multiple projects.

Equivalent / Substitution: Master's Degree and three years (36 months) of professional, healthcare, and/or healthcare consulting experience that includes experience managing/leading multiple projects.
