Basic Job Functions: BACKGROUND: Universal Industrial Gases, LLC. (UIG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nucor and a well-established, global engineer, constructor, supplier and operator of air separation plants and related equipment and services, based in Bethlehem, PA. UIG owns and operates production plants across the USA which supply both Nucor steel sites and third-party clients 24/7 with tonnage quantities of oxygen, nitrogen and argon as well as exporting liquid cryogenic products by road tanker. BASIC FUNCTIONS: UIG is currently seeking a Sales Manager located at Bethlehem, PA. The responsibilities of the position are to develop sales leads and drive the sales process to generate top-line growth and profits and to:
Work with the customer and the business development team on opportunities and develop technical and cost information. Prepare and issue detailed technical and commercial sales proposals
Be the customer-facing role in the organization which includes strategic customer relationship development as well as individual opportunity management
Lead the sales contract negotiation working with legal counsel on terms and conditions including liability, insurance, confidentiality, warranty and similar contract terms
Upon a successful award communicate customer and project requirements to ensure successful project execution
Ensure that UIG marketing materials and website(s) are accurate and effective in generating leads
Promote and build presence through web resources, networking, customer visits, trade shows, and other such forums

Bachelor's degree or better in a technical subject
Minimum 5 years of proven results in roles with combined commercial and technical experience.
Strong computer and communication skils
Industrial gas industry commercial track record
Proficiency using Salesforce.com
