Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Technical Instructor is responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs, develop course materials to be used in face-to-face and virtual training programs and design exercises to enhance lectures, conduct classes covering safety, security, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of software, machinery, and equipment. The Technical Instructor performs training (face-to-face and virtual) for field service associates, customers, and service partners on Vertiv Data Center technologies to include Power, Thermal, IT and Edge products and management/monitoring systems


Develop course materials. Provide support for course development efforts, including product research, providing subject matter expertise, and training content review. Interface with subject matter experts to perform training needs analysis and to ensure the correct learning offering is created

Deliver classroom and virtual instructor-led technical training courses. Deliver, review and analyze course evaluations and exams to determine effectiveness of training sessions.

Maintain classrooms and training lab equipment in good working order.

Practice continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical area (MIS, EE, Computer Science) preferred.


Solid experience with Data Center hardware and software to include UPS and power/power monitoring systems, HVAC and thermal management equipment and controls required

Prior experience in technical curriculum development and training delivery desired.

Experience deliveing in both face-to-face and virtual formats desired.

Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications desired

Customer oriented required

Proven ability to educate, consult and influence at many different organizational levels is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on presentation and facilitation skills for classroom and virtual environments required.

Flexibility in terms on activities, planning and timing.

Autonomy and self-organized.
