Job Description:

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a North America Contracts for its client located in Bay City TX.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

General Responsibilities

  • Create contract plans well-ahead for OMT Contracts in order to meet end user's timelines.
  • Coordinate with other team members to collect all OMT Contracts. Check the synergy between them and unify the common ones before starting the tendering processes.
  • Perform the development of tender specifications for OMT Contracts in-line with business expectations, risk perspective and applicable laws.
  • Execute the full contract cycle from pre-award to post-award and carry out the contract (includes the tender-board approvals).
  • Draft complex contracts and commercial terms and conditions to best serve and protect the company interests (includes technical recommendations).
  • Respond to all clarification requests during tendering period.
  • Align with end user for conducting technical evaluation; take responsibility for conducting commercial evaluations.
  • Conduct negotiations with vendors to realize the total economic value to the company considering quality and cost.
  • Support tendering activities and contract management activities in alignment with the organization's policy and code of ethics to ensure the right contracts are in place to deliver value to internal customers.
  • Support the management of contract disputes to ensure fair and timely resolution with vendors. This includes escalation of disputes where needed with the support of legal.
  • Build and maintain relationship with suppliers within the region to ensure positive, constructive and cost-effective commercial agreements for the company.
  • Monitor market trends and provide accurate supply information to internal customers.
  • Continuously update the tracking tool with the latest tendering / contracts' information and details.
  • Maintain HSE as a priority through compliance with HSE rules. Ensure that all contracts are fully compliant with company HSE policies.
  • Promote and encourage continuous learning and development among team members including knowledge sharing activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls. Continuously identify and recommend improvements while ensuring compliance with the group guidelines, international / local standards and relevant legislation.
  • Support the integration program as needed.

OMT Contracts includes:

Operation : raw materials supply, chemical, catalyst, additives, lab, diesel, etc.

Maintenance : preventive & corrective maintenance, overhauling, equipment supply, maintenance manpower support, fabrication, HVAC maintenance plant related, rotating, static, electrical, instrument, etc.

Technical : technical studies, consultancy, engineering scope, QA/QC, reliability, integrity, process, environment.

Skills / Qualifications

Relevant experience and or capabilities in a similar role preferred

Deep understanding of tender law and tender procedures

Working knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Power Point, Word and ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Experience working in international markets is an added advantage.
