Responsibilities

The Software Sales Support Engineer will provide complex pre- and post-sales support to coordinate activities related to ordering, production, delivery or training of products/services/solutions

Job Family Responsibilities:

 


  • Provides technical expertise to Account Managers, Aftermarket Account Managers, and customers during the sales process.

  • Participates in technical sales support at customer sites or on a multiple site basis.

  • Assists in resolving technical product/service issues including parts and order processing.

  • Interacts with customers during the sales process to maximize the benefits derived from the organization's products and/or services.

  • Assists in maintaining a detailed contact list, customer installations, and logging/tracking potential sales opportunities.    

  • Supports account relationships with the designated Account Manager.

  • Responsibilities are within the Technical Sales Support Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.


Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Performs full range of standard work for the professional field. Refers complex, unusual problems to others. Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.

Education:
Typically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree.

  

Knowledge and Experience:                                                  


  • Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.

  • Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.

  • Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

  • Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

 

Direction of Others:

Provide general guidance or train support and/or professional staff.
