Job Duties: The Preop PACU registered nurse in the ambulatory surgery center practices utilizing the nursing process, as defined by the Maryland Nurse Practice Act, and participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary health care team in providing the highest quality of care to the patient. The Preop PACU nurse will work within the Pre-operative unit, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and the procedural rooms.
PRN (as needed)
Two - Three 8 hr shifts per month
Education: Bachelors of Science degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required. CAPA (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) and or CPAN (Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) certification preferred.
License/Certification: Registered nurse licensure in the State of Maryland. PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support or ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as registered nurse preferred.
