Inside the IDEMIA Corporate Purchasing organization this position manages strategic purchasing & sourcing activities for various types of polymers and polymer related materials, security devices for payment cards as well the partly support of subcontracting purchase activities in the US, works closely with key stakeholders in Business, Operations, Quality/Regulatory, Supply Chain and R&D organizations to develop effective category strategies and implementation plans.

Key Accountabilities and Major Activities

* Understand metal and polymer related spending, security devices (e.g. holograms, holofoils, magnetic stripes, inks and other smart card security features), across the business, analyze category markets and translate into actionable strategies and forward-looking analysis.

* Develops category expertise, maintains market intelligence and stays abreast of the changing supply base and new technologies.

* Lead efforts that drive cost optimization, improved quality, service, and enhanced innovation through strategic market research, supplier relationship and risk management.

* Negotiate cost effective agreements with key suppliers & distributors that result in measurable cost benefits.

* Collaborates with key stakeholders upstream and downstream to ensure engagement, buy-in and ownership of key sourcing strategies.

* Contributes to develop supplier management strategies that enhance innovation and quality, reduces costs and improves supply chain efficiencies.

* Leads Supplier Selection mainly but not limited in North America

* Contributes to company's risk management strategies to increase awareness and ensure implementation of appropriate risk mitigation plans.

* Support compliance and quality activities around procurement at varying sites;

Remain current with market trends through relationships with suppliers and market experts; identifying and communicating new technologies and solutions to company s key problems in the assigned spend areas

Qualifications & Experience

* 8-10 years of manufacturing procurement experience with understanding of plastics, films, resins, or metal industries. Smart card industry preferred, but not required.

* Bachelor s degree in Business, Sciences, or Engineering, MBA preferred, but not required;

* Demonstrated experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies that have yielded measurable business results.

* Experience working with multicultural virtual teams in a global and complex environment.

* Travel up to 35%
