DH Pace Company, Inc. is seeking to hire an Tax Clerk/Administrative Support Representative at our Corporate Headquarters in Olathe, KS. Under the general direction of the Sales Tax Manager, the Tax Clerk will be responsible for aiding in the sales tax compliance process for DH Pace! We are seeking candidates with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously!
Effective communication with internal and external customers which includes but is not limited to:
Responding to various company wide sales and use tax questions
Communicating effectively and fostering relationships with various internal departments regarding sales and use tax
Maintaining tax code set up and tax rates in multiple operating systems
Managing vendor and customer exemption certificates
Support the tax accountants in the filing of monthly sales tax returns which includes but is not limited to:
Extracting and analyzing of monthly upload reports
Review and analysis of taxability on purchases
Assisting in E-filing of returns
Preparation and filing of annual reports and business licenses
Gathering of sales tax documentation in support of refunds and sales tax audits
Use of Baan, Microsoft Navision and IFS ERPs
Use of Suretax and Vertex tax systems
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Must have proven experience in a fast-paced environment, with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Capacity to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external parties
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel
