Job Description:

Caliber is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our growing team!

As the Technical support Specialist you will be primarily responsible for responding to technical support requests by troubleshooting and remotely access customer sites as well as escalating issues to on call resources with minimum direction.

What your impact will be:


  • Perform application, hardware and software troubleshooting.


  • Help customers resolve technical problems in a timely manner.


  • Analyze logs and spot common trends and underlying problems


  • Documents accurate records of the customer problem and resolution into Salesforce.com


  • Remains current on company and department changes in policies and procedures.


  • Attends educational seminars as required.


  • Able to continually pass background check requirements for working on and connecting to public safety information systems.


  • Other responsibilities as required.


  • Immediately escalating serious complaints or issues that you are not equipped to deal with.


What we are looking for:


  • Ability to support, configure and maintain a variety of software, hardware and networking equipment.


  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, detail and deadline oriented with ability to prioritize and multi-task.


  • Ability to reduce technical information to simple language, exhibiting patience with users who do not understand technology, providing quality customer care.


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.


  • Minimum of 5 years related experience with at least one year in a technical support role.



  • Strong working knowledge of:



    • Operating Systems 


    • SQL Server/Oracle – database structures 


    • Networking & Security 


    • Various methods of backup software applications


    • DNS


    • Active Directory


    • Basic understanding of different programming languages
