BMC is looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our BMC Helix Discover team. In this role, you will have the opportunity of defining and launching next generation digital service provider management solutions.

Each day, you will work with customers, engineering teams, product managers, designers, marketers and sales to build and deliver products that delight BMC s digital service providers and valued customers within the telecommunications industry. You will be charged with delivering and driving adoption of the product portfolio. We are looking for great candidates that understand that great products balance simplicity and robust features to solve real world problems.

Job functions & responsibilities:

*

Accountable for delivering detailed product requirements for upcoming products based on subject matter expertise and deep understanding of the telecommunications market and from working closely with customers, analysts and business stakeholders
*

Understands and analyzes customer workflows at a deep level to translate market requirements to product development and the value proposition to downstream functions (marketing, sales, operations)
*

Conducts competitive analysis and market assessment for establishing go-to-market strategies that capitalize on market trends, customer needs and competitive positioning
*

Properly segments the market and creates specific product strategies, roadmaps and tactics to address each segment's needs and requirements
*

Manages the design, development and enhancement of products to meet organizational and business objectives
*

Communicates product status and roadmap evolution to senior management
*

Builds effective relationships with sales, customers, partners, and internal groups
*

Supports sales and pre-sales to effectively demonstrate the latest Discover solutions
*

Presents and discusses product roadmaps to partners and customers

Experience required:

*

Bachelor s degree or equivalent
*

10+ years Product Management experience working with a software engineering development team; recent role 5+ years product management
*

Experience from a Telecommunication company
*

History of delivering cloud applications and platform solutions
*

Experience documenting user stories, requirements and design
*

Experience working with UX teams designing features
*

Excellent communication, presentation skills
*

Experience with AI/ML use cases and their implementation
*

Ability to collaborate with and influence cross functional, global teams

Preferred experience and skills:

*

Experience with IT Service Management or Enterprise Service Management
*

Deep knowledge of the tmforum Open Digital Framework
*

Past experience with managing OSS/BSS leveraging TAM, eTOM, SID, and/or TIP frameworks
