SUMMARY:

This Expeditor position is based in Lithia
Springs, GA. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure all
orders shipped to customers are complete and correct.
This position also works to ensure that
returned windows and special orders are produced, repaired or replaced quickly
by inserting them into the existing production schedules. This position reports to the Operations
Supervisor

ESSENTIAL
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.

*

Expedite scheduled orders with all
departments, especially production and shipping, to ensure on-time order
completions and shipments.
*

Help move all hot orders through
the production process quickly.
*

Follow-up on paperwork / completion
of orders required for early shipments.
*

Ship and track special orders
through alternative carriers when necessary.
*

Identify and use complex part
numbers to ensure the use of proper parts.
*

Troubleshoot order and product
problems using available data and reports.
*

Work effectively with ethnically diverse
production employees.
*

Track ship tickets and work with
shipping dept. to load special orders.
*

Operate computer systems and data
bases to access order information.
*

Create and use spreadsheets.
*

REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION

*

High
School education or equivalent preferred
*

Proficient
communication skills
*

Dependable,
punctual, detail oriented and proficient communication skills
*

Ability
to read a tape measurer
*

Ability
to read/write in English and basic reading and math skills are preferred.
*

Ability
to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, stand and lift at least 100 pounds
