SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for various windows assembly operations, continuous improvement projects, and absenteeism coverage by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

*Mindset of process improvement and more efficient ways of doing things.

*Operate manufacturing equipment to include saws and use hand tools as required

*Work in a safe manner, follow safe work practices and policies while monitoring co-workers safety practices

*Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities

*Follow and work in an established rate as defined by customer demand & Standardized Work / Lean Mgmt.

*Define & enhance standard work to improve quality windows while identify problems & suggest solutions

*Assist with training and coaching. Also, participate in kaizen events for continuous improvement

*Support and promote a respectful workplace

REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION

*Dependable, Punctual, Detail Oriented, Good Communication skills verbal and written.

*Ability to read/write in English is preferred and bilingual is preferred

*High School education or equivalent preferred

*Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, stand and lift at least 75lbs

*Ability to provide leadership in the areas of communication, conflict resolution and problem solving

*Ability to drive continuous improvement (demonstrate initiative and follow through)

*Demonstrated ability to work and motivate Associates and have a Strong attention to details

*Dependability/punctuality & able to work overtime hours on Saturday as needed.

*No performance/attendance discipline warnings

*Must have knowledge of a minimum of five positions in the line preferred & Able to read a tape measure
