SUMMARY

CNSP is seeking a SharePoint and Web Design Specialist to assist with the DHA Clinical Support Division (CSD), Patient Safety Program (PSP) and The Office of the Deputy of the Assistant Secretary of Defense Health Services Policy and Oversight (HSP&O) Programmatic and Technical support contract.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :


  • Oversee patient safety knowledge management and coordination of the PSP website (external) and SharePoint and Patient Safety Learning Center (PSLC). This also will include the CSD SharePoint sites and .health.mil. The PSP uses approved networking and collaborative efforts for the patient safety community in the MHS and public sector. The PSLC is a knowledge collaboration space for the Patient Safety community that facilitates the collective knowledge and resources to promote teamwork, communication and sharing of lessons learned, hosted on Health.mil. The PSP web site is a public site that includes patient safety content posted by a specific group of content managers that has been decided and approved by web site administrators. The PSLC sits in SharePoint where patient safety content is posted for and by the community. Collectively, these responsibilities include:

  • Comply with the DHA-defined web processes and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the health.mil team for tracking the PSP website for site analytics.
  • Provide web development services for ongoing networking and collaborative efforts to the PSP, CSD, and DHA to include, but not limited to:

    • Continued design, development, and enhancements and maintenance of the DoD PSP website and the PSLC and SharePoint day to day management
    • Managing student registration database and generating reports
    • Communicating with the appropriate department regarding website, server, network, security, 508 compliance requirements, and other technical issues
    • Utilizing web-based application to create mass e-mails to patient safety managers
    • supporting multimedia classroom
    • Providing programming support to multimedia development and web-based training programs
    • Assisting staff members with technical issues.

  • Maintain and enhance SharePoint sites for Clinical Support Division and Patient Safety Program, using approved web parts, lists, libraries, and calendars, managing site and group permissions, and creating workflows using web programming languages (basic HTML, Java script, and other web technologies) and related software tools and programs to improve site enhancements and user experience.


SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY : None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :


  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Two more years of SharePoint Admin experience
  • SharePoint training or certification is preferred
  • A background in web design is preferred
  • Three (3) to six (6) years of experience in administration or operations supporting the Federal Government or Department of Defense; DHA experience is highly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :


  • Good organizational skills and excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to translate customer business requirements into functional or technical documents, and to implement these requirements accordingly
  • Tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work in a fast-changing environment, with a self-starter approach.
  • U.S. Citizenship and DoD government security clearance NACI required.
  • The ability to successfully pass as drug screen and a federal background check is mandatory.
