As Data Architect, you ll play a key role in Pacific Life s Corporate Divisions growth and long-term success by acting as a data architect within our Corporate area. You ll build strong relationships with business stakeholders, product owners and third-party service providers as a means of developing business acumen and establishing meaningful partnerships. You ll also collaborate with IT teams, the Corporate Technology Office, and other Enterprise Architects to successfully establish business glossary and data models for existing and future systems.

What You ll Do
Analyze and weigh in on data related implementations to ensure they are in line with digital transformation and company policies
Design and implement effective data solutions and models for company data in existing and future systems
Oversee any data migration initiatives from legacy systems to new solutions.
Champion a mindset for thinking about data differently when buying, building, or integrating systems
Support communication plans for timelines and change management activities related to enterprise application projects
Tech & Tools You ll Use
Data Management Platforms, Master Data Management, Cloud and on-Premise data tools.
Factors for Success
Depth in data modeling and database design from conceptualization to operationalization
Understanding of established and emerging data technologies such as columnar, predictive analytics, unstructured data, data lakes, APIs, and data visualization.
Leadership, collaboration, agile hands-on approach and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
Deep understanding and technical capability for system design, data governance and business strategy, ability to translate strategy into desired outcomes.
Excellent written, visual, and oral communication skills, ability to clearly and succinctly communicate with key business partners, including senior executives.
Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills including the ability to bring together various teams and resources to deliver results.
