Intelligent Waves, a rapidly growing Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), has an immediate need for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support mission critical work for our government customers. The ideal candidate will possess experience in cybersecurity implementation, vulnerability patch management, and Risk Frame Management and report directly to the Technical Program Manager.
Location: This Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is based at Fort Meade, MD.
Travel: Limited travel (up to 10%) may be required and will be reimbursed based on GSA Per Diem rates and DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) as required.
Security Clearance: This Senior Cybersecurity Engineer must be a United States Citizen and hold a current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Roles and responsibility include but are not limited to:
Develop project plans and schedules, identify technical cyber risks, and support the customer in mitigating risks to the mission
Serve as a local, on-site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and integration of Hypori in an operational environment
Develop Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process and deliver the necessary Artifacts and Reports required to obtain an Authority-to-Operate (ATO) with Conditions that supports Continuous Monitoring (CM).
Apply National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-53 Rev 4 RMF to bring A&A packages and supporting Artifacts current for Authorizing Official approval.
Maintain Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for lean tracking & vulnerability assessments with ongoing security status reporting
Ensure that all required deliverables are submitted on time.
Document and follow the customer and DoD Cyber Security and Information Technology policies and directives.
A Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related scientific or technical discipline or 10 years of IT Experience.
Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical assessment
Ability to physically install and interconnect IT equipment in a customer datacenter
DoD 8570 Certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CISSP, ...)
Knowledge and familiarization with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Extensive experience in integration and implementing security systems with a focus on Government networks.
Expertise in Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) solutions.
Expertise in the Authority to Operate (ATO) process and program of record process
Ability to work multiple projects and rapidly integrate and support new customers/environments
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a diverse team
Ability to communicate with executive-level staff, senior military leaders and civilian government officials
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
High-level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and mission focus
