Current Need
We are seeking a North American Finance Shared Services Accounting Systems Manager to join our team in Irving, TX!

Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to participate as a key leader in the activities of the North American Finance Shared Services (NAFSS) Accounting Systems Team, which partners with the business in driving new system technologies and automation in the accounting organization. This person needs to be willing to dive into the details, understand the process and recommend the best course of action quickly. We are seeking a strong, ambitious, and self-motivated individual who has a track record of consistently delivering quality and accurate work in a high-performance culture.

The primary responsibility is providing leadership to the BlackLine administrators who provide functional and technical support for several financial applications including but not limited to Blackline, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and other accounting and finance initiatives. The Accounting Systems Manager is responsible as the primary oversight, development and growth of those staff. The Accounting Systems Manager will also need to have a thorough understanding of the IT project lifecycle and projects which fall within the Accounting group to support enterprise objectives.

Position Responsibilities
  • Oversees the staff who work the BlackLine support for JD Edwards and PeopleSoft ERP systems
  • Lead day-to-day direction-setting and execution for the team, effectively balancing projects, small enhancements, upgrades and support items
  • Provide thought leadership and process reengineering to improve processes and make the teams more efficient
  • Responsible for driving Blackline matching module adoption and usage across the enterprise
  • Drives automation using bots (Robotic Process Automation) and repeatable processes to drive efficiency and scalability
  • Builds reporting that details timely status and actions needed
  • Other tasks/projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years of supervisory experience.

Critical Skills
  • 6+ years of experience in system administration, accounting and/or reporting, with relevant month end close experience
  • 6+ years of experience leading multiple, medium-sized projects from planning through rollout and ongoing operations, including coordinating efforts across business users, technical teams, and vendors
  • 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Provides high level of service to business partners
  • Works with a sense of urgency and efficiency
  • Takes ownership for all assigned areas of responsibility
  • Maintains strong control environment, data integrity and governance
  • Strong critical thinking and demonstrated ability for troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Promotes feedback and appropriately escalates issues and conflicts to manager/supervisor
  • Flexible, organized, and able to handle competing priorities
  • Able to adapt and contribute to organizational change in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to set and meet reasonable deadlines

Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • JD Edwards, Peoplesoft or similar large ERP system experience
  • Experience with Blackline and/or related tools

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or related field from four-year college

Certifications/Licensure
CPA preferred
