Carousel Industries and Avaya are building an executive sales development program and seek motivated individuals looking to build a career in communication sales. The program is built upon Carousel's Executive Sales Development Program (ESDP) which selects graduates from top colleges and universities for a 18-24-month developmental program in our Windsor, CT office. This program will train and coach you to become a successful Account Executive in the challenging and rewarding communications industry. The program includes aggressive, formal training sessions in technology and professional selling skills. This program will help you cultivate your talent to become a trusted technology consultant to enterprise businesses and institutions. Graduates from this program have the opportunity of promotion and relocation to a Carousel sales region of your choice as an Outside Sales Account Executive.

Position Overview:

In your role as an Inside Sales Rep, you will be tasked with helping Carousel smash revenue goals using your talent, creativity, ideas, and persistence in helping our clients succeed. The position incorporates an intensive five plus week training curriculum in unified communications, networking, and Carousel's professional selling processes. The training will focus on Avaya's award-winning UC solutions for mid-market and enterprise business. An ability to properly evaluate opportunities and exhibit superior customer service skills are essential to the development and success of this role.

  • Achieve industry sales certifications and Avaya sales certifications in IP Office and many additional Avaya offers. Demonstrate confidence and competence presenting unified communication solutions
  • Become proficient in pricing, proposal development and articulating the key benefits of Carousel and Avaya solutions.
  • Understand the value proposition in business terms for Avaya solutions.
  • Provide accurate, timely sales reports and sales pipeline information to the Carousel Sales Team you support along with the Avaya Regions, Avaya CAM Team, and Avaya Marketing.
  • Develop and execute business development activities including prospecting for new and existing customers.
  • Understand customer objectives and objections to bring deals through the full sales cycle and to closure.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers to build and delivery demos and solution designs.
  • Coordinate with Avaya and Carousel field teams on larger deals requiring onsite support.
  • Focus efforts on driving modernization in existing Carousel/Avaya customers leveraging existing sales promotions.
  • Find and nurture greenfield prospects for IP Office PoweredBy and Avaya on-premise offers
  • Produce 4-5 highly qualified leads per week


Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Business degree a plus.
  • Desire to work for a dynamic sales organization.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
  • Candidate must be a team player with the skills to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eager to participate in team competitions is necessary.
