Primary Role

The Benefits/Compensation Project Manager serves as a project manager and HR analytics expert preparing metrics, reports, and dashboards to identify & track trends. They proactively monitor and make recommendations for process improvements to improve benefits administration and service delivery. Position manages large cross-functional initiatives and projects that encompass continuous process improvement, operational excellence, and other areas that further the Benefits/Compensation strategies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Project manage new system updates and program implementations related to compensation and benefits

  • Manage the entire project life cycle on multiple short-term and long-term initiatives from design to implementation assuring the desired results. 

  • Execute with a strong focus on operational effectiveness, efficiency, and best practices

  • Prepare recommendations to senior leadership and executive teams based on internal and external data trends

  • Develop and maintain complex data analytics and systems to plan and execute solutions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and the business to deliver programs aligned to business operations

  • Lead and define relevant metrics /scorecard data and provide timely reporting and analysis to various stakeholders

  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve system & data integrity issues as needed

  • Work with Benefits, Leave of Absence and Compensation Teams to maintain, audit, and document internal controls

  • Work with databases/dashboards from external vendors to conduct analysis, data modeling and costing of benefit/compensation programs

  • Prepare charts and graphs for presentations regarding compensation and benefits initiatives

  • Participate in compensation surveys; perform analysis of internal and external benchmarking data to support compensation needs and identify compensation trends.

  • Partner with Director, Compensation and internal teams to manage compensation-related programs, including data prep, auditing, and generating reports

  • Support the management and development of our HR System as it relates to benefits and compensation.

  • Partner with internal leave of absence team to manage leave of absence programs & projects, including reporting from leave of absence data information and cross functional projects.


  • MS Office, with superior Excel skills

  • SAP, ADP

  • SpiniFX or similar reporting package

  • Extremely strong analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for planning, doing, and auditing work

  • Experience with effectively communicate and influence stakeholders from front line employees to executives

  • Demonstrated record of successfully leading projects

  • Demonstrated consultative and business partnering skills

  • Highly detailed driven with an emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture

  • Relevant experience in data management, compensation, or other financial analysis

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences

  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex data


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Compensation and seven (7) years’ experience in Benefits preferred
