Overview

Under the direction of a Quality Manager or supervisor but working with limited or no supervision, the Quality Assurance Technician performs a variety of daily task to support operation activities, projects and processes developed by Quality Engineering, and leadership responsibilities when required.



Responsibilities

  • Capable of directing and coordinating work activities with other team members
  • Keeps supervisor advised of progress of projects, work in progress, material issues
  • Capable of performing operations in one or more of the quality function areas: Incoming, In-line monitors/audits, final inspections
  • Assist with training other personnel in all phases of the responsible work areas
  • Capable of supporting implementation of process monitoring, sampling and process auditing
  • Assist in the performance of audits of production, quality, equipment/tooling, and systems to assure compliance to the documented procedures and customer specifications
  • Assist with corrective actions using problem solving tools and methodologies to assure closure of issues/events and prevent recurrence
  • Communicates with other technicians, engineers and leadership such that resolution of problems are addressed and corrected
  • Provide solution based suggestions utilizing data with the intent to make process and product improvements
  • Performs duties in support of product quality and operation effectiveness/efficiencies using current software and data collection methods
  • Knowledgeable in use of specific Entegris systems to generate data, reports and metrics supporting key product/process indices
  • Support engineering in troubleshooting and repair of measurement, dimensional and inspection equipment
  • Write and sustain equipment, operation, and product inspection documentation
  • Compile data packs documentation in meeting customer requirements and review documentation to meet customer requirements
  • Performed specialized functions on a project basis rather than routine support
  • May involve collection and analysis of data applying to a broad knowledge of functions including but not limited to operating methods and policies for the engineering organization and company


Qualifications

  • High School degree or GED with a minimum of 3 years of Quality experience, or a minimum of two years of college/trade school and 2 years of Quality experience, or Associate's Degree (AS) or equivilent with 1 year of QA experience
  • Working towards Green Belt certification is preferred
  • Must be proficient user in Microsoft Office software, knowledgeable in ERP systems (i.e. SAP), monitoring software (i.e. Camline) and systems software (i.e. Etq)
  • Experience working with high powered microscopes, CMM measurement equipment, Automated vision systems, calipars, gage blocks, mechanical test equipment
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment
