Job Description:

GEMMS is looking for an experienced Implementation Technician to join our team!

You will be responsible for the implementation of the software including data set up, configuration, testing, and client training, technical support, and administration for systems across the enterprise. You will provide best practice advice to provide the client with the best possible set up and functionality of the software.

What your impact will be:


  • Identify, diagnose and correct problems related to the operating system, software, utilities and hardware.


  • Install, configure, and maintain operating system software and third party software for business systems within company operational guidelines.


  • Identify customer needs and adjust software configuration to meet those needs.


  • Develop and manage the tactical plan for implementation of software programs. This includes development of timelines and documentation regarding the implementation process.


  • Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.


  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.


  • Document new procedures


  • Enter/track/update case/changes in ticket management system


  • Provide high level support for other support teams


  • After-hours support rotation and implementation as needed


  • Training for customers (on-site and remote).


  • Creates training materials such as handouts, guides, PPT’s, videos, etc.


  • Advise on best practices with deep knowledge of technology and industry.


  • Participate in presentations to customers as needed.


  • Other duties as assigned.


What we are looking for:


  • Enterprise infrastructure experience


  • High Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server


  • Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, DFS


  • Experience with Windows VPN’s


  • Experience with Server Hardware


  • Experience with IIS


  • Experience Windows Server Features & Roles


  • Experience with Network Troubleshooting


  • Experience with File Transfer and related protocols


  • Experience with Virtual Machines


  • Experience with Windows Registry


What will make you stand out:


  • Experience with Hyper-V is a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred


  • Experience with Microsoft SQL


  • Experience with PowerShell


  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy
