Verisk s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide our interns with real work experience, professional development events, and networking opportunities. We're looking for motivated individuals who embody the Verisk Way to Serve, Add Value, and Innovate. The 2021 Summer Internship Program runs from June 1 - August 6.
The Intern Program is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. If you will require work visa sponsorship after completing your degree, you do not meet the basic requirements of the summer Intern role.
Based in our Houston office, working alongside experienced research analysts, you will gain first-hand experience of what it s like to work in a commercial data and research environment. Our aim is to give you a comprehensive insight into the work of a leading research organisation looking at all aspects of the natural resources to provide world leading subject matter expertise to inform our customers decision making.
* You will actively contribute to a research project, enabling you to put theory into practice, obtaining relevant and work experience for your resume
* You will be encouraged to share your ideas and previous experiences with the team
* You will learn new skills which will be of value to you in your future career and current academic studies
* Access to a community of other interns in the same situation
* You will be provided with excellent support and coaching to get the best out of your internship
You will be supporting the Gulf of Mexico upstream analysts on projects to improve the depth and accuracy of our field data and valuations.
You are currently studying towards an under-graduate or post-graduate degree course or MBA, expecting to graduate in Spring 2022.

* Working towards BSc or MSc in oil and gas geology, geophysics, petroleum engineering, economics or business (finance or accounting)
* Experience working with databases and advanced MS Excel skills
* English (fluent spoken and good written)
* Experience working with data visualization tools (Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau - an advantage)
