Position Summary

Parker Hannifin's Enterprise Data & Analytics team is looking for a full-time mainframe programmer who is fluent with cross platform software programming, with excellent communications skills, and who thrives on creatively solving complex problems. Successful candidates will be fluent in working with large data sets, using legacy and modern methods to support, design implement and maintain solutions used to enhance our customer and business user interactions and business decisions throughout the organization. This position reports to the Enterprise Systems Manager, and as part of the Enterprise Data & Analytics team, this position supports all levels of management at corporate, groups and divisions, across multiple functional areas and countries.

Responsibilities

Programming in IBM z/OS mainframe operating environment Programming using JCL and COBOL Work with enterprise data and database systems including SQL and DB2 Support and maintain enterprise sales reporting processes and programs across global sales and distribution Support and maintain enterprise sales force and sales lead management processes Support routine month, quarter, year-end software workflows including financial close processes Writing, testing and implementing programs within a very short timeframe Utilize standard software development lifecycle and project management Work on multiple projects concurrently Utilize problem-solving, critical thinking and analysis skills Perform programming, debugging, data analysis and system analysis Advance and support analysis of key enterprise datasets Hypothesize, ideate and implement advanced analytics for operational improvement Expand and support a growing analytics community throughout the organization Deliver advanced insights around Enterprise KPIs Support organizational efforts to centralize and standardize data Utilize and implement best-in-class self-service tools and products Monitor and adapt programs and solutions to changing business needs Conform with and contribute to Enterprise Performance Management & Analytics governance processes and policies

Qualifications

3+ Years of experience programming, supporting and maintaining enterprise software and programs Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or like competency Knowledge of commensurate technology for assigned area of responsibility. Strong interpersonal skills, relates well with all levels of the organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Project management ability. Ability to use Microsoft Office products. Ability to establish own priorities. Ability to adapt to changing roles and changing priorities.
