Principal, Direct Mail Production

The Medicare Acquisition Marketing Team is responsible for building, executing, and optimizing campaigns to drive leads and sales for the Senior Markets Line of Business. In addition, our team is accountable for ensuring we are leveraging best-in-class thinking, insights, technology, emerging media channels to drive year-over-year improvements in the efficiency of our marketing investment. We strive to move at the speed of retail, and often have to make last minute shifts due to changing market dynamics or new competitive opportunities. We pride ourselves on the results we get for our business partners, and the fact that we are helping California seniors access the best care possible.

The Principal, Direct Mail Production will report to the Sr, Manager Digital, Performance Analytics & Data Strategy. They will be accountable for partnering with other team members in marketing strategy & execution, integrated strategy, brand and others to develop a sustainable direct mail program in a highly-segmented, omni-channel environment. This role requires an exceptional strategic marketer who can bring thought leadership in direct mail production and list building, allowing for rapid delivery of personalized content, all while serving as a conduit between our data and print vendors. As our capabilities evolve and our audience changes, this person must be motivated by an environment rooted in constant transformation.

Must have a roll-up your sleeves and pitch in attitude when it comes to managing work and problem solving. The successful candidate will also have strong executive communication skills.

Other Accountabilities

* Demonstrates mastery in the direct mail implementation. This includes strategic thought leadership in medium, audience segmentation, dynamic content implementation, audience list management, production processes, and analytics.

* Develops, implements and optimizes highly segmented, direct mail lead generation and nurture campaigns

* Advances list building and data transfer capabilities across databases and print vendors

* Develops new perspectives and innovative approaches to elevate our data driven, marketing programs. Leverages other team members with functional expertise to help shape these new strategies.

* Actively monitors performance and proactively manages optimizations with agency partners

* Educates cross line of business partners about direct mail best practices. Is viewed as the go-to expert within Medicare acquisition marketing team

* Has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, including marketing agencies and print vendors

* Works across a marketing in a collaborative way to contribute and build an Integrated Marketing Plan

* Conducts briefings with senior leaders in Acquisition Marketing and Senior Markets, as necessary

* Frequently responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees across the team and the company within area of expertise

* Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams

* May direct the work of other individual contributors and/or act as a cross-functional team lead
