Job Description:

We are currently seeking an HR Advisor supporting our national Public Institutions practice. Public Institutions is a rapidly growing business supporting Local, State and Federal government as well as Higher Education clients. This role can be based in Washington D.C. or Nashville, TN or Huntsville, AL and supports stakeholders nationally. This position requires experience supporting federal contracts (specifically related to unions, hourly workers, labor relations, and the Service Contract Act).

Responsibilities Include:

As an HR Advisor, you will be outstanding at supporting a successful and growing organization with a business mindset through partnering with senior executives and management to develop and drive plans that optimize talent, structure, process, and culture. Your will drive HR initiatives that impact the bottom line.

Being at the heart of the team
This role will provide flawless execution and delivery of value-added HR services, including but not limited to: talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, talent reviews, compensation planning, and project management. You will act as a single point of contact for HR-related processes, issues/questions for assigned clients and work develop strategic staffing plans and provide recruiting support to the client team.

Partnering with managers to effectively address performance gaps
Collaborating with the leadership team to develop processes that engage and inspire employees at all levels
Effectively diagnose organizational issues and partnering with managers to solve them


Education and experience
A Bachelor s degree and a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a client-focused HR Generalist role, including experience in performance management, employee relations, learning, or compensation. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the Real Estate, Consulting, Government or Financial Services industry and have experience working in a metrics-driven organization, using data analysis to measure results. This person will also have experience working in a COE model for HR and the ability to partner and navigate an organization. Government knowledge through direct government work or government contractor experience is a requirement (unions, hourly workers, labor relations, SCA).

A relationship builder
Both verbal and written communication skills are vital, and, of course you will need to establish strong relationships with all levels of the organization. You should have the ability to manage multiple business lines simultaneously and have the aptitude to lead and manage complex situations. Experience supporting both senior level executives and a dispersed hourly population is preferred. Evidence of business acumen with proven results in influencing and advising managers and leaders at all levels whom are both virtual and local

Tech savvy
The HR space is consistently changing with technology. You ll need to make technology work to your advantage. Staying up-to-date of the latest HR systems will assist you in supporting the business. Experience using data and/or analytics to arrive outcomes.

An achiever
You should have a proven track record of results as we ll expect you to work independently, multi-task, and manage your time to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume environment. Most importantly, you ll want to work as part of a diverse supportive and talented team. Desire to succeed in a fast-paced, matrixed, ever-changing environment. Ability to thrive in ambiguity Can navigate through a complex, multi-faceted organization with multiple stakeholders.
