Sr Scrum Master
Remote to Start (then a couple days a week in Dover, NH)
4 months (extension expected)
W2 Only

This position is backfilling for an experienced SM. They will be SM for 2 squads, high degree of difficulty for both teams. Working with 2 PO within Doc Solutions.

Senior level SM that must have experience working on difficult/highly visible projects. Biggest challenge, finding someone who is good at coaching through agile process. Not just quoting the 'SCRUM guide'. How to balance delivery methods to deliver positive experience. Being able to give practical applications. Experienced with working with technical teams, working at large enterprise org. Also working on squad that interacts with a lot of different customers (paying customers, down streams, partner systems, internal).

Position is currently remote, but would be targeting a candidate that would be open to working in Dover NH (occasionally) if/when office changes. Or someone who would be willing to relocate to Dover.

As a Scrum Master you would be responsible to coach team performance in the area of delivery, reliability and predictability. The Scrum Master will proactively eliminating barriers and address challenges to team delivery for PI and sprint goals. You will create transparency using delivery metrics and make them visible to the team and the organization. You will work closely with the Product Owner to support agile ceremonies as well as PI and sprint planning. You will report directly into the Manager of Engineering and coach team improvement to the Scrum Team

Job Responsibilities:
PI objectives and Spring goals are promoted so they team has a common understanding
Committed PI objectives account for team capacity and are sized used Agile estimation techniques
PI event results in identification of risks, issues and dependencies. Team leverages Agile techniques for effective risk and issues management throughout the Program Increment
Team routinely completes committed work. Team uses Agile constructs to ensure consistent and complete delivery (Definition of Ready, Definition of Done)
Boundaries of self-organization are managed, key decision makers outside the team are brought in as needed.
Anticipate and address potential or actual impediments to team delivery (cultural barriers, logistic challenges) and escalate in a timely manner when additional help is needed.
Team constantly improves the quality of their deliverables and meets the Definition of Done.
Trak % automation, code coverage, pipeline metrics, support engineering & quality KPI's.
Team uses engineering practices that build quality in up front (e.g. pair programming, TDD, BDD, other XP practices)
Promotes a \\"can do culture build on commitment, openness, focus, respect and courage

Qualifications:
Knowledge of software development and relevant domains/products/journeys typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 4 years' experience in Agile development.
Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standards.
Ability to coach team and stakeholders on Agile practices and ensure adherence to Agile methodology.
Able to resolve conflicts; strong mediation skills.
Strong communication skills, to deliver complex messages and teach new concepts.
Strong problem solver
