POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Coordinator-Central Supply is responsible for optimizing and maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment for the Central Supply Warehouse, establishing ordering processes with third party vendors, and shipping central supply inventory items to skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Manages central supply inventory of key operational and emergency items such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and cleaning supplies.

2.Conducts physical inventory counts for central supply.

3.Monitors centers and communities inventory volumes and usage rates.

4.Forecasts inventory tendencies to minimize out of stock scenarios.

5.Coordinates backorder/exception reports and confirmations. Organizes delivery timelines and substitutions.

6.Manages the replenishment of centers and communities inventory.

7.Facilitates movement of supplies at overstocked locations to locations at crisis levels

8.Receives incoming shipments of central supply inventory, including verification of order quantities.

9.Packages, tracks and ships central supply inventory items to Prestige centers and communities.

10.Communicates with internal partners and third-party vendors to procure central supply inventory items.

11.Researches and establishes sources for central supply inventory items.

12.Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of two years experience in healthcare supply or inventory control. Minimum one-year shipping and receiving experience. Strong computer skills including MS Office applications Excel and Outlook.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
