Job DescriptionVirtual Interviews AvailableStep into an instrumental role. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced and growing financial planning firm. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. The paraplanner will primarily assist financial advisors in the financial planning process as well as client transactions. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics, legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities. This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare preliminary financial plans and other client deliverables, as well as working with clients to resolve issues and other practice management tasks as needed. Responds to ad hoc requests, coordinates/tracks projects and/or manages business-as-usual projects such as organizing a client seminar and key marketing activities. ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and Time Allocation - Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.Business ManagementWork with home office to ensure accurate account setup and resolve issuesAnswer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accountsGather and record financial planning data in appropriate toolsPrepare client documents and follow up as necessaryMaintain files and records in accordance with the records retention policyPerform other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisor(s) and associate financial advisor(s)Provide insight and recommendations to effectively use key digital tools that help lead to results in practiceAssist with implementing key marketing activities including advisor website, social media, and networking Client CareWrite notes or letters to clients on personal letterhead of administrative nature onlyAttend and participate in client meetings if necessaryConduct transaction requests as directed by financial advisor(s) and associate financial advisor(s)Manage and resolve client service problemsMaintain client contact during the financial planning process. Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested.
