Summary

The Director Global Software Architecture will lead the strategic design of technology solutions at MiTek. This leader will work closely with the senior members of our globally diverse software teams, guiding and facilitating the technical decisions around platforms, frameworks and application design. This role will report to the SVP Enterprise Software Solutions.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Essential Functions:
  • Concerned with the design, creation and reuse of MiTek's software platforms and frameworks, for the purpose of improving all of Development, Testing, Release, Sustainability, Scalability and Security
  • When a new technology solution is required, works with global development teams on decisions around:
    • Creation of new platforms or frameworks vs reuse of existing platforms or frameworks
    • “Buy vs Make”
  • Continually evaluates evolving technology trends and 3rd party toolkits, deciding which are incorporated into our platforms and frameworks
  • Creates developer documentation and training materials for platforms and frameworks
  • Trains software team members of platforms, frameworks and evolving technologies
  • Forms a pool of, and mentors, software architects embedded in the regional software teams
  • Key bridge between MiTek's software development and infrastructure focused IT teams.

  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills to communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal technologists and executives, as well as external customers, vendors and partners
  • Ability to build relationships, influence, manage conflicts and navigate through ambiguity
  • Travel up to 20%


Location

Ideally, this candidate would be located near our offices in Greenwood Village, Colorado or Chesterfield, Missouri. Qualified candidates outside of these locations may be considered to work remotely.
